Guess who's back

Mom, this is for you. I know you've wanted the whole fam to become blogites for a while (yeah I just made that word up--news flash to the world though, blog isn't a real word either), so despite the fact that I've made fun of people in the past for blogging (again, can that be a real word?), here I go. No turning back now...

Life is good up here at BYU. I'll admit it's hard sometimes to concentrate on school work since this is my last year, but luckily I've got some classes I'm interested in. I'm still in the job hunt as well, and it's progressing slowly. It's a blessing to have options as far as what you're going to do for a career, but at the same time it can be really hard to pick something and feel good about it.

I flew out to LA this past week and interviewed for PWC's CVA group (capital markets valuation and accounting advisory) and I thought it went well. It's hard to get a good feel for a city in a day, but the weather was nice and it seemed pretty chill. Next week I'm visiting Deloitte's FAS group (financial advisory services) in San Fran, so at least I'll have something to compare and contrast.

In other news, my bowling league is still going well. My team went head to head with some real punks last week who used "defensive" tactics to try and throw us off our game. By defensive tactics I mean they acted like little girls and screamed and ran at each of us while we making our approach. Pretty much anything goes in this league, but there are some unspoken rules they definitely broke. Anyway, I had to remind myself over and over again that it was just bowling... Two more 'W's on the record (7-3 overall) helped to calm my rage as well. :)

I have a feeling it's going to take some work for me to polish my blog abilities. Peace.
