Tahoe

I spent the weekend at a cabin in Tahoe, and it was AWESOME. About 50 or so people from all over northern California showed up on Friday, and luckily my group showed up relatively early so we snagged one of the few bedrooms. I ended up sleeping on the floor anyway, but since I had the foresight to bring some ear plugs I actually slept pretty well.

On Saturday a group of us went on a ~8 mile hike up to Half Moon Lake. I'll throw a picture on here when I get one so you can get a feel for how beautiful this place was... The hike was a lot of fun (minus the crazy mosquitoes), and the lake swim was refreshing at the end of the hike. A few of us even swam across the entire lake. It sounded like a good idea until I was coming back and started realizing how unbelievably out of shape I am, but I'm glad I did it.

Moral of the story - If you ever get a chance to go to Tahoe, take it!
